How to Be An Awesome Auxo Member
Welcome to Auxo!
It's a Discussion & Content Board. You can join discussions, ask and answer questions, or just read and learn.
There are a few basic things you need to know about using Auxo. If you’re experienced with discussion forums, you probably know some of these already. If you aren't (or if you try to sell things), you might want to keep reading.
Please look over the [General Questions page] if you haven't done so already.
Communication Online is Different
Communicating online is different from communicating with someone face to face. Only written words are seen, not your tone of voice or facial expressions. Please pay careful attention to how you use your words, as people can easily misinterpret how you’re saying them.
If you find yourself in a disagreement with someone, please keep in mind that the other person may not have meant to say something in the way you interpreted it. Try to take an issue with the actual comment itself, rather than the person who posted it.
Sometimes when you’re feeling intense emotions, it is often better to cool down and walk away, rather than to say something you will regret later on. Remember, the words you write in a burst of passion or anger will be there for everyone to see, long after those intense feelings have passed. So be careful of what and how you say things. There can be consequences and effects to what you post.
We’re all here to try and help one another. Not to put one another down.
Self-Promotion: Don’t be the sales guy people run away from
Don’t message people random things to promote your content, program, or anything else you’re trying to sell. Don’t push your products or services on the Discussion Board. These kind of posts are seen as spam and often ignored.
It’s like getting a call from a telemarketer while eating dinner with your family. Do you like it when this happens?
Nobody is asking to be interrupted to listen to a sales pitch. This is the fastest way to get ignored. People hate being “sold” things, especially when they never asked.
The best way to promote yourself is by posting helpful content and answering questions.
The Best Way to Promote Yourself
Instead of being the sales person people run away from. Become the leading expert that people get in line to see.
You do this by sharing your story and building genuine relationships. Once people hear your story and get to know you, they’ll be more interested in what you have to offer them. Changing the way you interact with others can get you genuine leads.
One of the best ways to build rapport is to teach people something. The internet is driven by problems and questions. Everybody searches online for answers to problems they’re facing. This is why blogs are so prevalent. This is what drives Google Adwords. In the right context, when people are actually looking for a solution to their problem, they’ll be more than inclined to buy.
If you help answer a question or give valuable information, people will begin to trust you. People love to “buy” from those that they like and trust. Contribute to the Discussion Board, be unselfish. Tell us about your mistakes, failures, and how you overcame them. Share your life journey and success. In doing so you can help others.
Give first. Then keep giving. Give, give, give, then ask. Contribute and share your insights. After building your reputation, you can ask people to check out what you do and you’ll have a positive response. If people gain insight from your posts, they’ll want to learn more about what you do.
Everybody is saying, “Buy my widget! It’s the best!”
But it’s far more effective to say, “Here’s the proper way to use any widget in general. This is how to get the most effective use out of it. By the way, if you like the widgets we recommend, try this one. It happens to be ours.”
Few people are willing to do this, because it takes time to help others. But if you take the time to educate others today, you’ll build rapport and trust with them. Give without expecting something in return. Keep giving and giving. Then you’ll grow your audience and more people will share and spread your content and be willing to take your advice.
How to Really Stand Out
People want to actually hear about what you’re doing and how you can help them. Give value and people will give you their attention. Promote yourself by giving helpful information. Showcase your experience on the Content Board.

General Discussion Board Rules
Rule 1: Stay Positive & Professional
Be positive, authentic, and genuine in your intent. Let’s keep a positive vibe within the community.
Always interact with other members respectfully, as you would in any professional setting.
Every post should make a positive contribution to the community. It’s best used with helpful exchange of information between members.
Please be sincere in your community participation. Only contributing content you know is accurate, and does not misrepresent your identity or your business qualifications.
No personal attacks, threats or name calling on the board. (We will remove any content, post or comment that is racist, abusive, derogatory, obscene, offensive, violent or inappropriate. Failure to comply with this guideline can get you banned.)
Rule 2: Post Relevant Content & Stay on Topic
Good contributions help the entire community by providing relevant, insightful information. Personal stories make for great posts. You can share your experience, lessons learned, and how you overcame challenges.
Don’t cross-post on the Discussion Board. Only post once. Posting a question or comment in multiple Discussion Groups is annoying to other members. If it is flagged, it may be removed as a duplicate.
If you have a question to post, please use the Search Bar first. What you’re looking for may already be on the site. This will keep the Board clean of multiple redundant posts. If you find a topic you were going to post about, just hop onto that thread and join the discussion there.
Stay on topic. Don’t hijack a thread by changing the topic. When you get caught up on another topic, you may derail the thread entirely. This may cause the original question to never get answered and the original subject can die out by the off-topic comments.
If you’re passionate in the moment and want to go off on a tangent, just start a new topic. It’s easy to post a new thread.
Rule 3: Honesty & Good Intent
When you make a point, try not to stretch the truth. Make sure your comments are true and correct to the best of your knowledge and experience. If you’re getting information from another source, be courteous and give credit to whom it’s due.
Have good intent. Don’t start threads with the sole purpose of eliciting anger on another group. Troll posts are inflammatory and only serve to incite members and cause trouble. When trolls are identified, their posts can be edited and deleted by the moderators.
If you see these type of posts, just ignore them. Don’t feed members that can’t discuss topics professionally.
Other Standard Rules and Guidelines
Compliance is not an option. It is a site requirement. Ignorance of these guidelines and rules is not an excuse.
The general guideline is to be respectful of other members.
Auxo is a place for positivity and growth. It is a place to share ideas, thoughts, and exchange valuable information. It’s not a place for contention and arguments.
Any posts, comments, or articles that violate the rules can be deleted at the moderator’s discretion with or without warning.
