How do you study maths?
I used to be good at maths. But now my math grades dropping (idk if depression or anxiety but now my grades don't go up). I have a C now, but I don't want to drop to D or F. I have no idea how to study maths to raise my grades. I've tried many methods like reading the book and doing exercises and watching videos, but my grades still didn't go up.
What do you recommend me to do to learn maths?

The best way to improve in math is to read the book and do the exercises. It takes practice, practice, practice. If you need help understanding the concept, watch videos youtube. But to get a high grade and do well on exams, you need to work on math problems.
You really need to do the exercises. You said you tried, but how much? Did you focus an hour everyday? You gotta really focus, no phone, internet, etc.Shawn Reeves
Check out Khan Academy on Youtube. He has lots of helpful academic tutorials.Ken Patel
Read "A Mind for Numbers" by Barbara Oakley. It teaches you how to actually study and learn the concepts.
- Do a list of math questions everyday.
- Leave the ones you can't do at first. Go back to them later.
So when you come across a problem, ask:
- What is this variable for?
- Can it come from a different unit?
- Are there other ways to get this variable?
- What happens to the formula if I can't give this or that variable?
- Can this formula be obtained from simpler set of formulas? If so, which ones and how?
Then do the exercises.Robert Cosman
You need to understand that when you go to higher level of math, math is not math.
You need muscles to be good at math. It's like going to gym to build muscles.
You need to drill practice questions. Then gather insights on the problem solving process. “For this type of problem I need to solve using these two steps...”
Then repeat. Good insight gathering process allows you to achieve mastery faster. But certain repetitive practice cannot be avoided.
Ask your teacher and those who are good at math for help. That will speed up the learning process.
